Orange <br />County enforces a stream buffer along streams and water features in the County per the <br />Orange County Zoning Ordinance. <br />An on-site field determination was requested by you for the referenced parcel. The <br />evaluation found that there is a water feature on the property which is subject to the <br />ordinance. The subject water feature, approximately shown on the attached map, will <br />require a 50’ undisturbed buffer (Please see previously referenced section of Zoning <br />Ordinance, attached). This undisturbed buffer shall be measured from the top of the stream <br />bank and shall be included on any site plans as part of a building permit application. <br />Be advised that the buffers are measured horizontally, as if by a surveyor, from the top <br />of the stream bank or outer edge of the water feature, and will be longer on the ground <br />than the specified width because of slope.
