Specifically, the BOCC has asked that staff develop recommendations
as to the process by which a request to extend sewer service to undeveloped land will be
evaluated and approved. As a first step in that process, staff has developed a concise map of
the current boundaries of the overall sewer plan for the Efland sewer system for the BOCC's
review and approval. By approving the attached resolution, the Board can formally confirm and
ratify those boundaries.
Staff is in the process of developing and refining a report and flow chart outlining the planning
and utility agreement process by which a request for extension of sewer service is:
^ Submitted and integrated into the Concept and Preliminary Plan approval process
^ Evaluated by staff and the BOCC
• Ultimately approved by the BOCC
FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no direct financial impact associated with this decision.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Administration recommends that the BOCC confirm and ratify
the Efland area overall sewer system plan by adopting the attached overall system plan
resolution.
