26 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Commissioner Dorosin asked about the question of process of filling vacancies on this <br /> 3 board. He said there is an at-large vacancy that has existed since 2017. He asked if the BOCC <br /> 4 can nominate someone from the list to start the one-year training process. <br /> 5 Chair Rich said the Board has asked this question a number of times, and she is unclear <br /> 6 why the Board cannot do as Commissioner Dorosin suggests. <br /> 7 Commissioner Price said she thinks the person is interviewed prior to the training. <br /> 8 Chair Rich asked if the Board could select someone to be interviewed. <br /> 9 Chair Rich asked if the Clerk's Office could provide clarification on the need to fill a seat <br /> 10 that has been open for a long time, and what is the process of filling that seat if there are other <br /> 11 applicants on the list. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 12.
