They did not score or rank the applications. <br />Council Vacancies <br /> The current vacancies for the council are the Chapel Hill township position and an at large <br />position. The only current applicant for the council would be eligible for the at-large position. <br />Members of the council reviewed this application and referred some questions requiring follow <br />up to staff. <br />Three current members are up for renewal at the end of March. These renewals are due to <br />the fact that members filled unexpired terms when they came on board. Staff will contact <br />each to confirm their willingness to renew. <br /> <br /> … <br />Report of the Director: <br />Fairview Park Opening <br /> This long-awaited event is planned for Saturday, April 9th. (time to be announced) <br />Department Personnel Changes <br /> Two vacant positions will be reclassified to meet current needs and the Athletics and <br />Recreation Divisions will likely be merged. <br />Little League Update <br /> Orange County Little League will not include girls softball this spring. Insufficient registrations <br />were received. Baseball will run with fewer participants than in the past. Inter-league play <br />was proposed to HYAA, but not approved. Chapel Hill has agreed to home and away <br />schedules with all four divisions. Orange county fields will be in use and rentals are also <br />coming in for the fields. Some rental time slots may still be available once OC schedules are <br />written. <br />BOCC Items: <br /> The Board of Commissioners will address some of the following items in upcoming meetings: <br /> Blackwood Farm Park Master Plan and Interim Use Plan, County wide Facility Use Policy, <br />Parks and Recreation Comprehensive Master Plan Update, Little River Regional Park <br />Caretaker Lease Agreement. <br /> <br />Committee Reports:
