PUBLIC CHARGE <br />The Board of Commissioners pledges to the citizens of Orange County its respect. The <br />Board asks its citizens to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both <br />with the Board and with fellow citizens. At any time should any member of the Board or <br />any citizen fail to observe this public charge, the Chair will ask the offending member to <br />leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to <br />be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until such time that a genuine commitment <br />to this public charge is observed. <br />7:40 C. JOINT PUBLIC HEARING (JPA-1-01 and JPA-CH-Z-1-01 are submitted for <br />consideration. The first item, proposing amendment to the Joint Planning Area Land Use <br />Plan, was submitted by the Chapel Hill Town Council and is to be reviewed jointly by <br />the Orange County Board of Commissioners, the Carrboro Board of Aldermen, and the <br />Chapel Hill Town Council. The second item, a rezoning request, was submitted by a <br />property owner requesting rezoning of land in the Chapel Hill Transition Area, and is to <br />be reviewed jointly by the Orange County Board of Commissioners and the Chapel Hill <br />,Town Council. <br />1. ,TPA-1-Ol requests that the Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan be amended to <br />reflect designations for the Chapel Hill Transition Area recently adopted by the <br />Chapel Hill Town Council as part of Chapel Hill's Comprehensive Plan. <br />Amendments to the JPA Land Use Plan require the approval of Chapel Hill, <br />Carrboro, and Orange County as specified in the Joint Planning Agreement. <br />2. JPA-CH-2r1-Olrequests changing the zoning of a site on Homestead Road from <br />Residential-2 (R-2) to Residential-4-Conditional (R~-C). Rezoning requests in <br />the Chapel Hill Transition Area require the approval of the Orange County <br />Commissioners and the Chapel Hill Town Council. <br />10:00 D.
