<br /> Orange County ABC Board <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> Tuesday September 16, 2014 <br />. <br /> <br />Open Session 9/16/2014 Page 1 of 2 pages <br /> <br />The Orange County ABC Board held its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 8:30 AM at <br />the ABC Board Administrative Office 601 Valley Forge Road Hillsborough, N.C. These are the minutes of <br />the Open Session. <br /> <br />Present: Elizabeth Stuckey, Chairman Gregg Jarvies, Vice Chair <br /> Rosa Tilley, Member Mike Lassiter, Member <br /> Tony DuBois, General Manager Keith Bagby, Member <br /> Ron McCoy, Finance officer Angel Neighbours, Board Secretary <br /> <br /> 8:37am Mark Dorosin, B.O.C.C. Liaison joined the meeting <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />Visitors: Chris Willett (Closed Session) <br /> <br />Call to order: at 8:26am a quorum was present and Ms. Stuckey, Board Chairman, called the <br />regularly scheduled Board Meeting to Order. <br /> <br />Ms. Stuckey read the Mission Statement: The Mission of the Orange County ABC Board and <br />our employees is to serve our locality responsibly by controlling the sale of spirituous liquor, <br />returning profits to Law enforcement, Alcohol Education, and the County Fund while providing <br />excellent service in customer friendly, modern and efficient stores. <br /> <br />Ms. Stuckey read the Conflict of Interest Statement: The question was asked if anyone has a <br />conflict of interest with respects to any matters on the agenda? All present said nay. <br /> <br />1 Approval of the Open meeting Agenda: Ms. Tilley made a motion to approve the Open meeting <br />agenda, Mr. Bagby seconded the motion and the vote carried. <br /> <br />2 Meeting Minutes: The Open Session Meeting minutes for August 26, 2014 were presented. <br />Discussion was held. Mr. Jarvies made a motion to accept the open session minutes with the <br />approved changes, Ms. Tilley seconded the motion and the vote carried. <br /> <br />3 General Managers Updates: <br />1. Law Enforcement Report: This report is required by the NCABC. <br />2. Carrboro Roof: The roof at the Carrboro store has damage that needs to be repaired. The <br />current lowest estimate cost is $4070.00 <br /> <br />4 Chapel Hill North Project : <br />a. Construction Update: The timeline for the new store #3 in Chapel Hill has been extended 30 <br />days due to issues earlier in the construction process. The timeline remains well within the original <br />contract completion date in early May. It also stays within the lease for the current space that <br />expires June 30, 2015. The concrete foundation has been started and is 75% complete. The next <br />step is the road work on Perkins drive as well as utility work on the site followed by structural <br />steel. <br /> b. Project balance sheet: No payments were made to Corley Redfoot this month. A balance of <br />$8225.00 remains on their contract for architectural/project administration services. A payment of <br />$71,325.77 was made to S&S Building for the construction of store # 3. We received a change order <br />for $20,295.00 for the additional removal and replacement of unsuitable building soils. <br /> <br /> <br />
