Heard, Officer in Charge of the Hells 4ue L!anufacturing Compat{y, appeared before the <br />Board to protest the valuation of the machinery located in their plant. Llr. Heard contended <br />the quipment in said plant xas xorth about J195,000.00 in 1954 and that the county's assessment <br />was, in fact, discriminatory. The Hoard informed 16r. Beard that they xould consult the <br />County Attorney about this matter xith particular reference to the authority they have to <br />change previous assessments. <br />Tho Board dlscussad xith Sassie Trowbridge, Home Demonstration Agent, the possibility of <br />moving the Home Demonstration Agents office into tea room recentt.y vacated by the County Accomtaat. <br />This move xovld enable the present Home Demonstration kitchen to be used by both the vrhite and <br />negro Home D®onstration agents. ldiss Troxbridge xas opposed to this suggestion but stated that <br />she xould discuss the matter xTth members of the vazious Home Demonstration Clubs in the county. <br />The Sheriff detivared hie monthly report for October.
