<br /> Orange County ABC Board <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> Wednesday June 18, 2014 <br />. <br /> <br />Open Session 6/18/2014 Page 1 of 2 pages <br /> <br />The Orange County ABC Board held its regular meeting on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at 8:30 AM at the <br />Southern Human Service Building 251 Homestead Road Chapel Hill, N.C. These are the minutes of the <br />Open Session. <br /> <br />Present: Keith Cook, Chairman John Link Jr, Vice Chair <br /> Elizabeth Stuckey, Member Tony DuBois, General Manager <br /> Ron McCoy, Finance Officer Gregg Jarvies, Member <br /> Angel Neighbours, Board Secretary Rosa Tilley, Member <br /> <br />Absent: Mark Dorosin, B.O.C.C. Liaison <br /> <br />Visitors: Mark O’Neal, Pickett-Sprouse Real Estate <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />8:36am Orange County ABC Board opens the Public Hearing for anyone that wishes to be heard <br />concerning the 2014/2015 Budget. <br />8:46am Mr. Jarvies makes a motion to close the public hearing, Ms. Tilley seconded the motion and the <br />vote carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Call to order: at 8:46am a quorum was present and Mr. Cook, Board Chairman, called the regular <br />scheduled Board Meeting to Order. <br /> <br />Mr. Cook read the Mission Statement: The Mission of the Orange County ABC Board and our <br />employees is to serve our locality responsibly by controlling the sale of spirituous liquor, <br />returning profits to Law enforcement, Alcohol Education, and the County Fund while providing <br />excellent service in customer friendly, modern and efficient stores. <br /> <br />Mr. Cook read the conflict of Interest Statement: The question was asked if anyone has a conflict <br />of interest with respects to any matters on the agenda? All present said nay. <br /> <br />1 Approval of the Open meeting Agenda: Ms. Stuckey made a motion to approve the Open meeting <br />agenda, Mr. Link seconded the motion and the vote carried. <br /> <br />2 Meeting Minutes: The Open minutes for May 20, 2014 were presented. Discussion was held. Mr. <br />Jarvies made a motion to accept the open session minutes, Ms. Tilley seconded the motion and the <br />vote carried. <br /> <br />3 General Managers Updates: <br />1. Law Enforcement Report: This report is required by the NCABC. <br /> <br />2. Law Enforcement Grant Payments: It would be preferred to change the law enforcement <br />payment structure to quarterly. Discussion was held and it was agreed that payments would be <br />made quarterly. <br /> <br />3. Property Negotiation: This item was moved to closed session. <br /> <br />4. Groundbreaking for Chapel Hill North: Following the meeting there will be a <br />groundbreaking for the new store on Perkins Drive in Chapel Hill North Shopping Center. <br /> <br />
