Orange County ABC Board Policy and Procedure Manual <br /> Employee Retention Benefit <br /> The Employee Retention Benefit is intended to reward employees for continued loyal <br /> employment with the board and is based on years of service. <br /> Employee Retention Pay Schedule: <br /> Employee Retention Scale <br /> FT PT <br /> 1 Year 0.50% $50 <br /> 2Years 0.75% $75 <br /> 3Years 1.00% $300 <br /> 4 Years 1.25% $125 <br /> 5-9 years 1.50% $150 <br /> 10-14Years 2.25% $225 <br /> 15-19 Years 3.00% $300 <br /> 20-24 Years 3.75% $375 <br /> 25 Years plus 4.50% $450 <br /> <500 hours <br /> Eligibility for the first Year employee: <br /> Any employee who starts on or before June 15' is eligible for the Employee Retention <br /> Benefit and anyone hired after that date is not eligible until the following year. <br /> Eligibility after the first year: <br /> All part time employees who work 500 hours or more and all Full Time employees are <br /> eligible for their applicable Retention Benefit level based on length of service. <br /> Completed Years of Service: <br /> A completed year is a calendar year and any part of a month more than 15 calendar days <br /> qualifies as a full month of service. <br /> Annual Salary/Wages: <br /> Salary/wages include all pay eamed through salaries and wages received during the period <br /> December 151 of the prior year through November 30" of the current year. The only types of <br /> payment not included in the calculation is: <br /> ➢ Prior year retention benefit payment <br /> ➢ Lump Sum Check if applicable <br /> Separation: <br /> Retention pay is not pro-rated or paid when employees separate during the year. <br /> The Employee Retention Benefit pay will be included in the first pay period of December. <br /> 5-3 6/1/2014 <br />
