Emily Lees and Devra Thomas volunteered. The Greater Chapel Hill <br />Association of Realtors have asked for art donations for their fundraiser to benefit domestic violence <br />victims. The Free Spirit Freedom Program of the Hillsborough Arts Council asked for an extension to spend <br />the funds from their Fall 2011 grant. Their request was approved for another 6 months. The Town of <br />Carrboro Arts Committee asked that they be allowed to do a scaled down version of their original Fall <br />2012 grant proposal, since they didn’t receive their NEA grant. Their request was approved. <br /> Action Item: Approval of requests from Hillsborough Arts Council and Town of Carrboro Arts Committee. <br />Topic D <br /> Discussion Point: Liaison’s Report & Ad Hoc Committees <br />Decision/Vote(s): Geoffrey Hathaway reported that the Orange County Cultural Center (OCCC) is going <br />inactive. The BOCC, Orange County School Board, & Town of Hillsborough will be using the renovated <br />Whitted building for meeting space. The BOCC wants an arts presence there, but did not approve the <br />OCCC to coordinate it. <br /> Action Item: None <br />Topic E <br />Discussion Point: Appointment of Nominating Committee <br />Decision/Vote(s): Nominating Committee should be appointed to recommend a new slate of officers. <br /> Action Item: Gordon Jameson and Leah Rade volunteered to serve on the Nominating Committee. <br />Topic F <br />Discussion Point: Volunteer Applications for OCAC Board <br />Decision/Vote(s): Three new board members are needed. There was discussion of available applicants.
