<br /> Disaster Debris Clearance and Removal Services <br />Bid: 5266, Orange County, North Carolina <br />July 29, 2019 Page 8 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3.0 Requests for Interpretation <br /> <br /> All questions pertaining to this RFP must be submitted in writing no later than 12:00 PM on August 7, 2019. <br />Written questions should be emailed to: dcannell@orangecountync.gov. <br />All responses to timely submitted requests for interpretations will be published in the form of an addendum of <br />the County’s website at http://www.orangecountync.gov/bids.aspx <br /> <br /> <br />4.0 Submission of Proposals <br /> <br />A. Deadline: Mail one (1) original hardcopy. Proposals shall be sealed and marked “RFP # 5266, Disaster <br />Debris Clearance and Removal Services.” Sealed proposals must be received by 12:00 PM EST, on <br />August 20, 2019, at the office of David Cannell, Purchasing Agent, at Orange County North Carolina <br />Financial Services Department, 200 S. Cameron Street, PO Box 8181, Hillsborough, NC 27278. Although <br />not required, the vendor may also submit one (1) electronic copy (pdf format) for staff convenience by <br />email to dcannell@orangecountync.govg with “Disaster Debris Clearance and Removal” in the subject <br />line. <br /> <br />B. Addenda: Each Proposer is responsible for determining that all addenda issued by the Orange County <br />Purchasing Agent have been received before submitting a proposal. All such addenda shall become part <br />of the contract and all Bidders shall be bound by such addenda. <br /> <br />C. Identification: Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope addressed to David Cannell, Purchasing <br />Agent, Orange County North Carolina Financial Services Department, 200 S. Cameron Street, PO Box <br />8181, Hillsborough, NC 27278 and should be clearly marked “RFP 5266, Disaster Debris Clearance and <br />Removal Services”. <br /> <br />D. Time is of the essence: Any proposal received after the announced time and date for submittal, <br />whether by mail or otherwise, will be rejected. It is the sole responsibility of the contractor for ensuring <br />that their proposal is received by the Purchasing and Contracts Manager before the deadline indicated <br />above. The Orange County North Carolina Financial Services Department will in no way be responsible <br />for delays caused by any occurrence. <br /> <br />E. Preparation of Response: The contractor’s proposal should be prepared simply and economically and <br />should provide all the information which it considers pertinent to its proposal and qualifications for the <br />work to be performed. Proposals shall be submitted on the forms included with the bid documents. Any <br />interlineations, alterations or erasures must be initialized by the signer of the proposal. <br />There is no page limit to the RFP; however, to allow for a timely review process, please submit only <br />requested and relevant information. <br /> <br />F.
