Hurricane Michael <br /> was the first Category 5 Hurricane to ever hit the Florida Panhandle. The 160 mph sustained winds knocked out <br /> power to over 1.2 milllon customs and were responsible for over 25 Billion Dollars of damage. <br /> CrowderGulf held a pre-event contract with Bay County and immediately mobilized within a few hours of the storm <br /> passing. Upon arrival, the CrowderGulf management team Instantly procured a helicopter to allow CrowderGulf and <br /> County Personnel to begin the much needed damage assessment. It was obvious from the damage assessment that <br /> the County needed their priority roads cleared to aid police,fire and medical personnel in emergency transit to assist <br /> the impacted residents.Within 2 hours of receiving the NTP, CrowderGulf began clearing priority routes as directed <br /> by the County. CrowderGulf operated throughout the 1,033 Square Mile County for 3 days until the necessary roads <br /> were cleared of hurricane debris. <br /> Simultaneously, CrowderGulf located and setup 4 DIMS sites throughout the County. Over the next few months <br /> CrowderGulf removed,hauled and reduced over 2 Million Cubic Yards of Hurricane Michael generated debris. During <br /> peak operations, CrowderGulf was operating over 100+debris removal trucks on the Right of Ways,7 grinders across <br /> 4 DMS sites and over 30+ haul out trucks for reduced vegetative and C&D debris disposal. <br /> Bay County as a whole removed over 16 Million Cubic Yards of Hurricane Michael debris making it the largest <br /> volume of hurricane debris to ever be removed from one county from a single disaster event in U.S. history, <br /> CrowderGulf was also responsible for the removal of hazardous hanging limbs, hazardous leaning trees, hazardous <br /> stumps,debris from impacting creeks and ditches, white goods and the demolition of structures and Private Property <br /> Debris Removal (PPDR). <br /> 86 <br />
