Winds
exceeded 130 mph along with catastrophic flooding throughout the entire City causing major storm damage to more
than 20,000 homes.
CrowderGulf has a pre-event contract with the City of Port Arthur creating an overall accessible, urgent and immediate
response by CrowderGulfs team to begin the debris collection process.
Once CrowderGulf was activated and the water receded throughout the city, the team immediately mobilized all
personnel, support equipment, and assets to begin the major storm debris collection process. The team immediately
selected, constructed and managed three debris management sites. Each debris management site accepted incoming
construction and demolition debris. This project activated more than 100 employees, 30 self-loading grapple trucks as
well as wheel loaders, skid-steers and other support equipment required to perform all necessary tasks. This project
consisted of removing more than 480,000 yards of vegetative and construction/demolition debris, over 47,000 units of
electronic waste and over 3,500 units of white goods.
Recently, the City of Port Arthur released a new Request for Proposal for a Pre-Event Debris Removal Contractor and
due to the outstanding performance on this project and our past history with the City, CrowderGulf has been awarded
the new contract.
84
