For this reason,CrowderGulf belleves in a three <br /> phase approach to safety training, which is Pre-Activation Training, Activation <br /> Specific Orientation, and Monitoring and Reinforcement for Duration of Project. <br /> No matter what the level of Involvement in a specific project, some amount of <br /> training is required.Training can be provided in many different ways. Typically,the <br /> different phases of a project provide ideal time for the different trainings to be <br /> conducted. <br /> n. r.•. r,i r. re: <br /> During the Pre-activation Training Phase, typical training may include OSHA 10 <br /> hour or 30 hour trainings, HAZWOPER training, CPR/First Aid training, asbestos <br /> training, or any other training focused on generalized regulations and topics that <br /> we may face upon activation. Training Is typically conducted by a qualified training <br /> Instructor. <br /> Activation Specific Orientation training Is very important and Is established when there is a better understanding of <br /> the work to be performed. This includes some type of new personnel orientation that all employees must attend before <br /> work is started. Aside from the new employee training, the types of training during this phase may Include: flagging, <br /> severe weather, site control, and other possible trainings specific to the situation, Training is typically conducted by <br /> supervisors,foreman and/or the safety department. <br /> The Project Training' Monitoring and Reinforcement phase focuses on the topics that have been previously <br /> discussed, as well as addressing any new phases of work that may arise throughout the project. In a typical project, <br /> additional tasks may be added to the original scope of work, such as demolition, limb and tree removal, etc. It is vital <br /> to the safety of our employees that we instruct them on any changes that may not have been addressed during the <br /> orientation phase. During this phase,we also acknowledge exemplary safety performance and those who are following <br /> the re u1rements of Crowd s safef program.Trainin in this phase can be provided by any competent or qualified <br /> q YP g g <br /> person. <br /> Additional Components of Safety Training <br /> Company Safety Rules—Employees are required to read the rules and understand them.The issuance of these rules <br /> are logged and signed receipts are kept on file. Each new employee, as he arrives on the job, is approached and <br /> trained in the same manner. <br /> Periodic Safety Talks--the company will hold a safety talk with their employees on a weekly or at least monthly basis. <br /> The talk may consist merely of restating the company safety rules or warning of dangerous conditions which exist. A <br /> particular subject may be covered,such as lockout Itagout, confined space, or fire prevention. <br /> Changed Conditions — When the job operation changes or when new hazardous materials are brought into the <br /> workplace,employees are made aware of new or added potential dangerous situations that might occur and the proper <br /> action employees should take to maintain a safe workplace. <br /> Safety Equipment—Employees will not simply be issued protective equipment. They will be instructed as to its proper <br /> and safe use. <br /> Consistency/Redundancy — The Company will consistently and routinely entertain the concept of safety training. <br /> Once is not enough,Employees are constantly remind of safety protocol from the orientation meeting of new employees <br /> through the follow-up weeklylmonthly safety talks.The central theme is always that employees cannot commit unsafe <br /> acts. <br /> 38 <br />
