The unit shall be <br /> designed and constructed for use in mobile vehicle <br /> operations, mounted and insulated to prevent transfer of <br /> vibration. The system shall be furnished with under-cabinet <br /> heat diffusers to provide forced air heating from floor level <br /> when necessary. The system shall be provided with a <br /> rheostat for each heating unit. <br /> 1 HVAC - undercarriage Exterior self-contained, diesel-fired heating units; 9,000 <br /> heating system BTU/h rated capacity. The unit shall be designed and <br /> constructed for use in mobile vehicle operations, mounted to <br /> prevent transfer of vibration. The system shall be furnished <br /> with heat diffusers to provide forced air heating. The system <br /> shall be provided with a rheostat for each heating unit. <br /> 1 Insulation, rear cabin, Insulation shall be installed to fill the cavities in the walls and <br /> triple foam by Dow ceilings. Walls shall have a R-value of not less than 20; <br /> ceilings shall have a R-value of not less than 30. All <br /> insulation shall not support combustion or sustain flame, <br /> mold, rot, support vermin, corrode metals, absorb orders, and <br /> shall be essentially odorless. The insulation shall not <br /> disintegrate under exposed operational or storage <br /> temperatures, or settle and leave voids. Means shall be <br /> provided to drain condensation to the ground but not allow <br /> road splash to enter the insulation cavities. Fiberglass batt <br /> insulation shall not be used. The product to be used is a 5/16 <br /> in. layered insulation comprised of an outer aluminum foil <br /> shielding barrier, then an inner core of closed cell poly, and a <br /> third outer layer of foil. The layers are to provide <br /> condensation, radiant and thermal barriers that excel over <br /> typical fiberglass batt or foam insulation. <br /> 1 Insulation, winterizing, Insulation shall be installed in areas below the subfloor and <br /> underfloor below the floor of any expandable side rooms. The floor shall <br /> be undercoated with 2 to 3 in. of insulating CFC-free foam to <br /> R-15 or better. Insulation in these areas shall be spray-in- <br /> place urethane foam having a minimum thickness of 2 inches. <br /> Spray-in-place urethane foam insulation shall have a Class-A <br /> fire retardancy under ASTM test procedure E-84. <br />
