Agency's Purpose/Mission(no more than a few sentences): <br /> IFC confronts the causes and responds to the effects of poverty in our community. We <br /> believe in a community where everyone's basic needs are met, including dignified and <br /> affordable housing, an abundance of healthy food, and meaningful social connection. <br /> 3. Please provide a brief description of your organization's past achievements in carrying out similar <br /> projects and evidence of successful record of meeting proposed budgets and timetables (no more than <br /> 100 words). <br /> In 1963, seven women united to address the conditions of poverty in Chapel Hill and <br /> Carrboro through the efforts of volunteers. Since then, IFC has become the primary non- <br /> profit provider of basic needs services for people living or working in our community.
