<br />• Workforce Development <br /> <br />Matt Sullivan, Chapel Hill Fire Chief , said he has been serving as President of Fire <br />Chiefs’ Council for the past year. He said the Council meets six times a year, and get things <br />done. He recognized Commissioner Dorosin, Commissioner Price and Commissioner McKee <br />for serving now, or in the past, on the Council. He said tonight he will provide an update of the <br />last 8 months, since the Chiefs last met with the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) in <br />February. He said the Council discussed if this gathering is important, and it was unanimously <br />agreed upon that it is important to discuss issues. <br />Matt Sullivan said Tracy Lambert died last week, after a long fight with cancer. He said <br />this was a major loss, and she was a joy to work with. He said her husband also has cancer, <br />and their family is in the Council’s prayers. He said this weekend Chief Cabe will travel to <br />Maryland; also it has been a year since Jeff Holden passed away. He said the fire <br />departments have a great relationship with Orange County Emergency Services (OCES) and <br />Dinah Jeffries, Emergency Services Director, and appreciate and enjoy the collaboration. <br /> <br />Matt Sullivan made the following PowerPoint presentation: <br /> <br /> <br />
