The Mission of OCAG is to promote the <br /> growth and appreciation of the art and fine craft of local artists; to <br /> contribute to the vibrancy and economy of Orange County; to foster <br /> continuing arts education, growth and development of guild <br /> members; and to provide opportunities for artists to exhibit their <br /> work. The organization is governed by 9 board members and several <br /> supporting committees. <br /> The Guild's Open Studio Tour, in its 25th year, is an annual event <br /> featuring over 85 participating artists with 70 artists' studios open to <br /> the public. The tour is an opportunity for artists to provide, free of <br /> charge, a time for the public to meet working artists in their work <br /> spaces/studios and learn about their art and their methodologies. <br /> Many artists will be in the process of making art, allowing visitors to <br /> actually watch a work of art being created. Besides offering <br /> educational and inspirational benefits to the public (many of whom <br /> are families), the Studio Tour promotes tourism and contributes to <br /> the pr-nnnmv of nrnnnp Cniinty_ mirinn the twn tniir wppkpnrlc_ <br />
