Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget, grant, and capital project ordinance amendment for fiscal year <br /> 2019-20. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Department of Social Services <br /> 1. The Orange County Department of Social Services (DSS) has received the following <br /> revenue for its FY 2019-20 budget: <br /> • Foster Care Donations — receipt of an additional $7,622 in donations and fees <br /> for foster care and adoption programs in the DSS Client Services Fund, outside of <br /> the General Fund. <br /> • Home and Community Care Block Grant (HCCBG) — Increase of HCCBG <br /> funds awarded for In-Home Aide Services managed by DSS, resulting in <br /> increases in revenue and expense by $4,340. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment 1, column 1) <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br /> applicable to this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br /> AND INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br /> color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br /> origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br /> or economic status. <br />
