3 <br /> $36,703 was provided by the North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Arts Program. Orange <br /> County provided $28,800. <br /> The remaining $3,445 of grant funding was used for the OCAC Arts in Education partnership <br /> program with The ArtsCenter. <br /> SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is applicable to <br /> this item: <br /> • GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION AND <br /> INEQUITY <br /> The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or color; <br /> religious or philosophical beliefs; sex; gender or sexual orientation; national origin or <br /> ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential or economic <br /> status. <br /> The impact for traditionally under-served populations and geographic location is a part of the <br /> grant evaluation criteria across all of the Commission's grant categories. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: There is no Orange County Environmental Responsibility Goal <br /> impact associated with this item. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board acknowledge the local <br /> recipients of these awards during the October 15, 2019 meeting with the presentation of grant <br /> checks. <br />
