The Art Walk features 10 to 15 venues. <br /> Each location is required to exhibit the work of one or more artists <br /> and to host a public reception for the exhibiting artists on the last <br /> Friday of each month. This program offers the public an opportunity <br /> to connect with new, emerging, and established artists as well as <br /> downtown merchants and organizations. <br /> Each year, over 100 artists of various ethnic, cultural, and artistic <br /> backgrounds are highlighted during the Art Walk through solo and <br /> group exhibitions. These collaborative efforts increase visibility for <br /> artists and provide a greater income potential from artwork sales <br /> each month. <br /> Venues include commercial art galleries, artist cooperative galleries, <br /> non-profit organizations, historic sites, and local merchants and <br /> restaurants with designated exhibition space. There are typically 8-10 <br /> full season venues (January-November) and 3-5 short season <br /> venues (April-September) that participate each year. Each venue <br /> pays a $45 participation fee, which is a contribution to publicity <br /> efforts made by HAC. HAC facilitates the event by managing venue <br /> participation, this supports the marketing and promotion of <br /> Hillsborough's Last Fridays Art Walk through the creation of a printed <br /> map and venue list, website support, and other advertising efforts. <br /> Project Start Date July 1, 2019 <br /> (no earlier than July <br /> 1 , 2019) <br /> Project End Date (no June 30, 2020 <br /> later than June 30, <br /> 2020) <br />
