Provide children with resources to create their own puppet shows. <br /> Quantitative Goals: <br /> 1. Provide monthly social-emotional, literacy-based puppetry. <br /> programs with puppet making art activities to benefit the <br /> community (10 programs at each site for a total of 20 programs) <br /> 2. Attain an attendance goal of 5% of children aged 0-10 in Orange <br /> County or 435 children. <br /> 3. Establish partnership with two Orange County Libraries to host <br /> and advertise puppetry arts programs. <br /> 4. Achieve positive parent feedback at 85 % (programs beneficial, <br /> child enjoyed program, themes apparent). <br /> 5. Achieve positive library staff feedback at 85% (programs <br /> beneficial, child enjoyed program, themes apparent). <br /> Audience Description 1. Attendance goal 5%of children aged 3-10 in Orange County or <br /> 435 children <br /> 2. Estimated racial and cultural composition of goal of attendees is <br /> reflective of Orange County population (Data US Stats): white 70%; <br /> Black 11 % ; Hispanic 8 % ; Asian 7%. <br /> Location Description The Fabled Puppet Productions project will take place at the <br /> Hillsborough Main Library in Hillsborough and the Carrboro Branch <br /> Library located inside McDougle Middle School in Chapel Hill. Both <br /> facilities are accessible to people with disabilities. In addition, the <br /> Carrboro Branch library is on the free public bus line. <br />
