33 <br /> <br />The Board approved the annual agreement between Orange County and the North Carolina <br />Forest Service, a division of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer <br />Services (DACS), for protection, development, reforestation, management and improvement of <br />forestlands in Orange County and authorized the Chair to sign. <br />j. Finalization of Property Exchange Between the County and Holloways <br />The Board authorized the County Manager to complete all required documentation and take <br />necessary action to affect a land exchange between the County and the Holloway family related <br />to the development of the County’s Northern Campus, subject to final review by the County <br />Attorney; and approved and authorized the Chair to sign the Resolution to Exchange Real <br />Property. <br />k. Northern Campus Easement Acquisition <br />The Board authorized the acquisition/dedication of utility easements to facilitate extension of <br />public sewer to the Northern Campus Project. <br />l. Resolution of Approval – Conservation Easement on Triangle Land Conservancy- <br />McQueen Property <br />The Board approved a Resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to approve the <br />acceptance by Orange County of a conservation easement for Triangle Land Conservancy’s <br />McQueen Property and authorized the Chair to sign. <br />m. Adoption of Policies Related to North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA) – <br />2019 Urgent Repair Program (URP19) Grant Award <br />The Board adopted and authorized the Chair to sign the Assistance and Revised Procurement <br />and Disbursement Policies for the NCHFA 2019 Urgent Repair Program (URP19) Grant Award <br />and authorize the County Manager and Housing and Community Development (H&CD) <br />Department staff to make any required changes as requested by the North Carolina Housing <br />Finance Agency (NCHFA). <br />n. Approval of Correction to Language in the Resolution Authorizing the Orange County <br />FY 2017-2018 HOME Program Design <br />The Board approved a Resolution, which is incorporated by reference, correcting language in <br />Resolution 2017-037 adopted by the Board on June 6, 2017 that authorized the Orange County <br />FY 2017-2018 HOME Program Design. <br /> <br />9. County Manager’s Report <br /> <br />Bonnie Hammersley introduced the Asset Management Services Director Steve Arndt, <br />and provided the following updates: <br /> <br />Projected September 10, 2019 Special Meeting Items <br />Public Hearing and Decision Regarding an Economic Development Recruitment Incentive for <br />Project Tomorrow <br /> <br />Projected September 10, 2019 Regular Work Session Items <br />Budget Amendment Process <br />Discussion Regarding the Regulation of the Discharge of Firearms in Areas of the County with a <br />High Residential Unit Density <br /> <br />10. County Attorney’s Report <br />John Roberts said the Legislature has not been passing much legislation lately, and still <br />awaits a budget. He said there are some regulatory reform and farm act bills that may still <br />potentially impact local government. <br /> <br />11. *Appointments
