11 <br /> STAFF COMMENT: The same concerns identified within number 9 apply <br /> to this option. <br /> 11.Complete an assessment of existing policies concerning the development of <br /> affordable housing within the Comprehensive Plan to ascertain if there are <br /> options to establish additional policy requirements for projects in certain land use <br /> categories (i.e. Transition areas), or strengthen existing language to ensure the <br /> provision of affordable housing is more of a priority. <br /> 12.Partner with local employers to develop an `employer assisted housing program' <br /> whereby funds could be allocated by the County and these employers on an <br /> annual basis to support the development of `work force housing'. <br /> STAFF COMMENT: This would be a voluntary program. <br />
