10 <br /> 1 Dmitry Dukhan said this truly will be the best supply chain in the United States, and they <br /> 2 carry a three month supply of inventory for hospitals, and could supply the entire state of North <br /> 3 Carolina if necessary. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Greene to <br /> 6 open the public hearing. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 9 <br /> 10 PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> 11 NONE <br /> 12 <br /> 13 A motion was made by Commissioner Greene, seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br /> 14 close the public hearing. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Commissioner McKee said this is a game changer company for Orange County, and it <br /> 19 will hugely benefit the community. <br /> 20 Commissioner Dorosin referred to the incentives chart, and said there is no incentive in <br /> 21 2020, but asked if, whoever owns the property, will be paying taxes. <br /> 22 Dmitry Dukhan said that is correct, and the current tax that is being paid on the property <br /> 23 will continue to be paid, but not incremental to what the project generates, because no <br /> 24 additional value has been created yet. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br /> 27 approve the "performance-based" economic development incentive agreement between Orange <br /> 28 County and the Company, Medline Industries, Inc., subject to final review by the County <br /> 29 Attorney, and authorize the Chair to sign the agreement on behalf of the County. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 32 <br /> 33 2.
