Our organization helped <br /> move forward a number of local bike and pedestrian projects. I have experience working with <br /> local government as well as a long-term interest in looking at how government can support more <br /> environmentally friendly transportation methods. <br /> Additionally, when in California, I organized and ran a LEED green building certification project <br /> for a 12-unit live-work development project. This project provides me a good understanding of <br /> the construction industry and how buildings can be more efficient. I also was an owner and <br /> manager of a bicycle shop giving me an understanding of the needs of small retail businesses. <br /> I recently completed a Masters in Industrial Design at NCSU.
