7 <br /> CHAPEL HILL <br /> :.•. <br /> ORANGE COUNTY VISITORS BUREAU <br /> August 27, 2019 <br /> To: Orange County Board of County Commissioners c/o Clerk's Office <br /> From: Laurie Paolicelli, Director, Orange County Visitors Bureau <br /> Re: Nomination for Advisory Board seat <br /> At its August 21, 2019 Advisory Board meeting,the Orange County Visitors Bureau Board's nominating <br /> committee brought forth the following nomination for consideration: <br /> Dixon Pitt, with Bryan Properties/Southern Village for the Chapel Hill/Carrboro Chamber of Commerce <br /> seat. <br /> Dixon has been nominated by the Chamber of Commerce for the seat currently filled by Rosemary <br /> Waldorf. Ms. Waldorf is not able to fulfill her seat due to retirement and opportunities out of state. <br /> Specifically, Nixon is being nominated by Aaron Nelson, CEO of the Chapel Hill/Carrboro Chamber of <br /> Commerce. <br /> Dixon has served since 2012 as Project Manager and Commercial Broker at Bryan Properties, Inc. Dixon <br /> serves as a team leader with Bryan Properties, helping to secure approvals for properties in Southern <br /> Village.Additional he assists with commercial leasing, management and sales. <br /> Mr. Pitt also serves on the Community Design Commission with the Town of Chapel Hill. <br /> Mr. Pitt has worked with the Visitors Bureau staff, helping to secure business for the Hyatt Place <br /> Southern Village and working to publicize events and real estate changes at the property. <br /> Thank you to the BOCC for consideration. <br />
