13 <br /> Item #: 9., File #: [19-0735], Version: 1 Meeting Date: 9/11/2019 <br /> A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND A CHAPEL HILL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE CHAPEL <br /> HILL/ORANGE COUNTY VISITORS BUREAU BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS (2019-09-11/R-6) <br /> WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau is charged with developing and coordinating <br /> visitor services in Orange County and implementing marketing programs that will enhance the economic <br /> activity and quality of life in the community; and <br /> WHEREAS, all members are appointed by the Orange County Board of Commissioners; and <br /> WHEREAS, Council Member Rachel Schaevitz has served since December 2017 and can no longer serve on <br /> the Board of Directors for the Bureau. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council <br /> recommends that the Orange County Board of Commissioners appoint Mayor Pam Hemminger to the <br /> Chapel Hill Town Council seat on the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau Board of Directors. <br /> This the 11th day of September, 2019. <br /> The Agenda will reflect the text below and/or the motion text will be used during the <br /> meeting. <br /> By adopting the resolution, the Council recommends that the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners appoints Mayor Hemminger to Chapel Hill Town Council seat on the <br /> Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau Board of Directors. <br /> TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL Page 2 of 2 Printed on 9/5/2019 <br /> powered by LegistarTM <br />
