<br />• DSS Client Services Fund - The Department of Social Services has received <br />$1,178 in donations to support the annual back to school supply drive. This <br />budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds, and is budgeted in the <br />DSS Client Services Fund, outside of the General Fund. <br />• Toy Chest – The department of Social Services has received $23,762 in <br />donations for the annual Toy Chest. This budget amendment provides for the <br />receipt of these funds, and budgeted in the DSS Client Services Fund, outside of <br />the General Fund. <br />• Adoption Enhancement – The Department of Social Services has received <br />$20,480 in Special Child Incentive Funds for use in enhancing agency adoption <br />services. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds, and <br />budgeted in the DSS Client Services Fund, outside of the General Fund. <br /> <br />This budget amendment provides for the budgetary changes listed above. (See <br />Attachment 1, column 2) <br /> <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br />applicable to this item: <br />• GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br />The reduction of risks from vehicle/traffic accidents, childhood and senior injuries, <br />gang activity, substance abuse and domestic violence. <br />• GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br />AND INEQUITY <br />The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br />color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br />origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br />or economic status. <br /> <br />Health Department <br /> <br />3.
