Proclamation Recognizing the East Chapel Hill High School Women's Soccer <br /> Team for Winning the 2019 State 3A Championship <br /> The Board considered voting to approve a Proclamation Recognizing the East Chapel <br /> Hill High School Women's Soccer Team for winning the 2019 State 3A Championship and <br /> authorize the Chair to sign. <br /> Todd McGee, Community Relations Director, said Coach Collins could not attend due to <br /> being out of town. He read the proclamation: <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> PROCLAMATION OF RECOGNITION ON <br /> EAST CHAPEL HILL HIGH SCHOOL WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM WINNING THE 2019 <br /> STATE 3A CHAMPIONSHIP <br /> WHEREAS, the East Chapel Hill High School Women's Soccer Team captured the North <br /> Carolina High School Athletic Association's State 3A Championship; and <br /> WHEREAS, under the guidance of Coach Austin Collins, the Wildcats compiled a sterling <br /> record of 20-2-2 and 13-1 in the Big 3A Conference; and <br /> WHEREAS, the East Chapel Hill Women's Soccer program has won four state titles in school <br /> history, in 1998, 2000 and 2004 prior to this season; and <br /> WHEREAS, through their hard work, dedication, teamwork and commitment, the team and <br /> Coach Collins brought honor upon themselves, East Chapel Hill High School, the <br /> Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools District and Orange County; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> expresses its sincere appreciation and respect to the East Chapel Hill High <br /> School Women's Soccer Team for their outstanding achievement and their <br /> inspiration to youth across North Carolina through their dedication, teamwork and <br /> athletic prowess. <br /> This the 18t" day of June 2019. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Bedford, seconded by Commissioner Price for the <br /> Board to approve and authorize the Chair to sign the proclamation recognizing the East Chapel <br /> Hill High School Wildcats Women's Soccer Team for winning the 2019 State 3A Championship <br /> and honoring the players and coaches for representing the community with the highest ideals of <br /> sportsmanship and integrity. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Chair Rich asked that the Board consider moving up Item 8-t since Delores Bailey from <br /> EmPOWERment was here to speak on that item, and to not make her wait until the end of the <br /> meeting. <br /> The Board agreed by consensus. <br /> 8-t Approval of the Transfer of Ownership of Two (2) Manufactured Home Units to <br /> EmPOWERment, Inc. <br />
