Delores Mason <br />336 McMasters St. Chapel Hill <br />942-8913 <br />August 14, 2000 <br />EXTERIOR <br />4 <br />1. Pressure wash the exterior siding, trim, shutters, and block. Prepare all surfaces for paint. <br />Paint the block, trim, doors, siding and rear porch ceiling with exterior latex paint. <br />Prepare the handrails for paint. Paint the handrails with an oil primer and an oil base <br />paint. Stain the rear deck and handrails with an oil stain and sealer. <br />2. Secure the front porch railing to the house. <br />3. Replace the foundation vents with louvered foundation vents. <br />4. Repair the front steps. <br />5. Install vinyl gutter guard on the front and rear gutters. <br />6. Install elbows at the rear downspouts and install a plastic splashblock under each <br />downspout. Replace the left/rear downspout. <br />7. Remove the oil tank. <br />8. Expose the front footer 24 inches from the house. Install Dry Lock waterproofing from <br />the footer to the yard height. Install #6 crushed stone and perforated drainpipe to run 15 <br />feet past the left end of the house. Connect the front downspouts to solid drainpipe to run <br />next to the perforated drainpipe. Cover the drainpipe with landscape fabric and #6 <br />crushed stone. Cover the stone with dirt from the removal. Seed and straw all disturbed <br />surfaces. <br />INTERIOR <br />LIVING ROOM AND HALLWAY: <br />Remove the existing front door unit and storm door. Install a six panel, metal insulated <br />door unit with eight-inch jambs, weatherstripping and threshold. Install a lockset and <br />dead bolt to be keyed the same. Install a wide view peephole. Install matching casing. <br />2. Install an aluminum storm door with pneumatic closure and vinyl sweep. Door to have <br />self-storing glass and screen; push button lock and key and lifetime warranty. <br />
