<br /> The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding necessary
<br /> for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for themselves and their
<br /> dependents.
<br /> The expansion of the County's electric vehicle fleet supports the growing electric vehicle
<br /> industry in Orange County and North Carolina which supports jobs and investments in research
<br /> and development, charging station manufacturing, and electrical contracting. Electric vehicles in
<br /> Orange County are also able to refuel for less than half of the cost of gasoline, safeguarding
<br /> taxpayer resources.
