She said the actual budget will be the same, and the occupancy tax <br /> 5 is continuing to increase. <br /> 6 Chair Rich asked if the Board of County Commissioners could get a list of the facility and <br /> 7 technology work that is being done. <br /> 8 Paul Laughton, Budget Director, said it is itemized in the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) <br /> 9 book under the Article 46 section. He said this money returns to <br /> 24 the County with a minor amount of interest. He said the demand has not been as strong since <br /> 25 the County started the grant program, but it is still very active. <br /> 26 Commissioner Marcoplos asked if staff could given an example of collaborative outreach <br /> 27 transaction. <br /> 28 Travis Myren said Carrboro has sponsored a festival, and asked the County to co- <br /> 29 sponsor it, and Chapel Hill has sponsored a luncheon and asked the County for funds. <br /> 30 Commissioner Marcoplos asked if this is based on a discretionary need. <br /> 31 Steve Brantley said it gives flexibility for unseen, miscellaneous requests. <br /> 32 Travis Myren said with a more sizeable amount, staff will make a more formalized <br /> 33 request with an intentional method to evaluate projects/events. <br /> 34 Chair Rich asked if the date has been set for Economic Development Summit. <br /> 35 Steve Brantley said he will be talking to the BOCC about this shortly and it was held in <br /> 36 the fall last year and was radio based. <br /> 37 Chair Rich said she received good feedback, and people really seemed to appreciate it. <br /> 38 Travis Myren resumed the presentation: <br /> 39 <br />
