General Fund Appropriations for Local School Districts <br /> 9 The following FY 2019-20 General Fund Appropriations for Chapel Hill-Carrboro <br /> 10 City Schools and Orange County Schools are approved: <br /> 11 <br /> 12 a) Current Expense appropriation for local school districts totals $88,820,720, and equates <br /> 13 to a per pupil allocation of$4,352.25. <br /> 14 1) The Current Expense appropriation to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools is <br /> 15 $53,419,518. <br /> 16 2) The Current Expense appropriation to the Orange County Schools is <br /> 17 $35,401,202. <br /> 18 b) School Related Debt Service for local school districts totals $17,770,542. <br /> 19 c) Additional County funding for local school districts totals $6,889,597 <br /> 20 <br /> 21 (1) School Resource Officers and School Health Nurses Contracts - total <br /> 22 appropriation of$3,629,597 to cover the costs of School Resource Officers <br /> 23 in every middle and high school, and a School Health Nurse in every <br /> 24 elementary, middle, and high schools in both school systems. <br /> 25 (2) Deferred maintenance funding of$3,000,000 by ADM is allocated to the <br /> 26 school systems by the following: Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools <br /> 27 appropriation is $1,804,200 and Orange County Schools appropriation is <br /> 28 $1,195,800. <br /> 29 (3) School Equity Training —total appropriation of$260,000 towards <br /> 30 Foundational Equity Training. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
