9 <br /> Page 2 of 2 Justin Baumann <br /> In addition to my formal research and education I am also an avid advocate for climate action <br /> and sustainability. I have spoken at educator conferences and in many classrooms about the <br /> threats of climate change and how we might actively pursue mitigation strategies and emissions <br /> reduction solutions. <br /> As a member of the Climate Coalition of Orange County and Citizens Climate Lobby I lobby our <br /> representatives to take climate action. I also write science-based op-ed pieces in the Herald-Sun <br /> and N&O pertaining t climate change, emissions, and possible solutions with fellow scientists. <br /> Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br /> I believe Orange County is moving in a very positive direction with regards to addressing climate <br /> change.
