Gordon Battle Superior Courtroom of the <br />New Orange County Courthouse, 106 E. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TEXT AND MAP AMENDMENTS <br />Hillsborough Area Economic Development Activity Node <br />Purpose: To receive public comment on proposed amendments to the <br />Land Use Element of the Orange County Comprehensive Plan for this <br />activity node. <br />1. Expand the existing I-40/Old NC 86 Economic Development <br />Activity Node to include: (CP-1-01) <br />Area 1 <br />Action: Change land use <br />From: Rural Residential <br />To: Ten-Year Transition and Economic Development Activity Node <br />Size: 97.67+ acres <br />Location: Between existing I-40/Old NC 86 Economic Development <br />Activity Node and along the western side of NC 86 <br />Identification: Hillsborough Township, Tax Map 49, Block B, Lots 15, <br />16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 22 (part) and Tax Map 50, Lots 6, 7, and 8. <br />Area 2 <br />Action: Change land use <br />From: Twenty-Year Transition (retain) <br />To: Economic Development Activity Node <br />Size: 92.57+ acres <br />Location: Along the northeastern section of the I~0/Old NC 86 EDD <br />between Beckett's Ridge Subdivision and Town of Hillsborough EDD <br />Identification: Hillsborough Township, Tax Map 40, Block A, Lot 22 <br />(part) and Tax Map 45, Lot 2 (part). <br />2. Create a new Hillsborough Area Economic Development <br />Activity Node in the vicinity of I-85/NC 86 (CP-2-01) <br />Area 3a <br />Action: Change land use <br />From: Commercial Industrial Activity Node <br />To: Economic Development Activity Node <br />Size: 41.51+ acres <br />Location: In the vicinity of the I-85/NC 86 interchange and along Old <br />NC 10 <br />Identification: Hillsborough Township, Tax Map 45, lots 8, 8A, 9, 10, <br />10A, 106, 10C, 11A, 19A, 19C, 29 and 32. <br />
