<br />~~~ <br />THE JOHN R McADAMS COMPANY, INC. <br />January 15, 2001 <br />Mr. Vance Barham, Division VIl Traffic Engineer <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation <br />1584 Yanceyville Street <br />Greensboro, NC 27415 <br />Re: The Preserve <br />Orange County, NC <br />NAT-00000 <br />Dear Mr. Barham: <br />Enclosed you will find three (3) copies each of schematic drawings indicating <br />certain proposed improvements relative to the referenced project. <br />After careful consideration by the project Owner, and in response to the <br />discussion at your office on Friday, December 15, 2000 we are suggesting .the <br />improvements indicated by the attached drawings and summarized as follows: <br />^ SB Highway 57, Extend 5traight/Right Turn Lane at NC Highway $6 <br />^ NB Highway 86, Extend Right Turn Lane at Highway 57 <br />^ SB Highway 86, Extend Left Turn Lane at US Highway 70 <br />Existing left turn lane storage on NC Highway.57 at Western Bypass appears <br />adequate. Turn lane storage lengths are based on preliminary recommendations <br />from our Traffic Engineering Consultant Martin/Alexiou/Bryson. <br />Please review this information and contact our office to discuss further.
