1Q <br />The next steps for local jurisdictions are to request that NCDOT transfer a portion of the <br />Moving Ahead funds that have been set aside for Jones Ferry Road/Smith Level Road <br />to the Homestead Road project, and to alert the neighborhoods that NCDOT will be <br />surveying and staking the right-of-way needed for the project. The group will reconvene <br />later in the year (in about four months) to assess progress. An optimistic timeframe for <br />completion of the project, if all goes well, is sometime in FY Q6, <br />
