• Definition of economic development and its importance <br /> • ED strategic plan is vital, with 5, 10 and 20-year tangible, identifiable, and measurable goals <br /> • BOCC facilitated day-long work session with the ED staff <br /> Update SWOT Analysis (sites, EDD's and CITAN's evaluation) <br /> Amanda Garner presented the draft summary spreadsheet compiled by the Economic Development <br /> Department, rating the properties according to viability. <br /> Directors Report - Steve Brantley <br /> • Project update <br /> o Retail prospect in Efland (200 potential jobs) <br /> o Flea Market site interest <br /> o Three projects visit (more than once) <br /> o USDA project <br /> • Lack of product in the County <br /> • Opportunity Zone <br /> Next Meeting <br /> A motion was made by Sharon Hill, seconded by Barbara Jessie-Black to hold an Advisory <br /> Board meeting on July 17 (location to be determined). Motion was unanimously approved. <br /> Adjournment - Chair Jim Kitchen adjourned the meeting at 1:31 pm. <br />
