DocuSign Envelope ID:60890E67-6F1D-48BF-9BD4-7E57F52CDE30
Section 6
Pricing
As requested, the table below provides our proposed pricing and options. KCI proposes to conduct the
scope of work outlined in Section 2 on a time-and-material basis for the not to exceed amount listed
below, depending on the option selected by the County. These prices include all labor, expenses, and
contracted sort labor. Should the County choose to provide day laborer(s),the pricing would be
adjusted accordingly.
Line A is the price assuming day laborers are paid the standard wage for this type of labor. Line B
assumes day laborers are paid a living wage as specified in the RFP. Both lines include two options: a 5-
day(55 sample) sorting event or a 6-day (66 sample)sorting event.The 6-day budget slightly exceeds
the County's stated not-to-exceed budget of$30,000 for the study. Should inclement weather impact
the RCS to the point that sorting activities cannot occur, or the composition of recyclables is
compromised (e.g. rain-drenched paper), KCI estimates the cost per additional day to be$1,500. If the
County wishes KCI to participate in an onsite presentation, the additional cost is estimated to be $3,000.
Cost per Cost per
Cost per additional additional day if
additional sample inclement
Day sample (extended weather or other Additional
laborer #of Alt# (added work events require cost for
wages samples Price samples Price day)' day)z additional time' presentation
A Standard 55 $28,580 66 $31,853 $298 $294 I $1,500 I $3,000
B Living 55 $29,900 66 $33,569 $310 $343 I $1,500 I $3,000
'Cost per sample assuming an additional day is added to the study during which 11 samples are sorted.
z Cost per sample assuming additional samples are added to the 5-day study, thereby extending the work day.
3 This assumes that no sorting occurs on this day since it does not include the cost of day laborers.
KCI does not anticipate any additional costs to the County.
When contracting for consulting services, what you get is time. Based on our hourly rates, which are
very competitive in the solid waste industry, and our team's high level of expertise,we believe KCI
provides the greatest value for the funds expended. KCI will submit a monthly invoice with individual
hours for each team member along with a description of work activities performed during the month.
In summary, we are proud of our firm's reputation for client service and committed to continuing a
tradition of excellence. Our goal is to provide clients with continuity, creativity, and personalized service
unmatched by any other company. We focus on achieving measurable results. We work very
efficiently, focus solely on the task at hand, and keep our overhead to a minimum.
