KCI proposes to conduct the scope of work outlined in Section 2 on a time-and-material basis for the not to exceed amount listed below, depending on the option selected by the County.These prices include all labor, expenses, and contracted sort labor. Should the County choose to provide day laborer(s),the pricing would be adjusted accordingly. Line A is the price assuming day laborers are paid the standard wage for this type of labor. Line B assumes day laborers are paid a living wage as specified in the RFP. Both lines include two options: a 5- day(55 sample) sorting event or a 6-day (66 sample)sorting event.The 6-day budget slightly exceeds the County's stated not-to-exceed budget of$30,000 for the study. Should inclement weather impact the RCS to the point that sorting activities cannot occur, or the composition of recyclables is compromised (e.g. rain-drenched paper), KCI estimates the cost per additional day to be$1,500. If the County wishes KCI to participate in an onsite presentation, the additional cost is estimated to be $3,000. KCI will submit a monthly invoice with individual hours for each team member along with a description of work activities performed during the month.
