Project activities included pre-planning, sorting representative samples of the municipal <br /> solid waste, analyzing the resulting data, preparing a final report that compared the results with <br /> baseline data, and developing recommendations for further waste diversion. <br /> r Resort-wide Waste Composition Audit,Confidential Theme Park, FL <br /> Robin oversaw development and planning of a three-week waste composition audit. Robin <br /> developed a two-phase approach to determine waste composition. Phase I was designed to sample <br /> waste from over 80 dumpsters and compactors while Phase II was designed to pinpoint the <br /> locations and practices where these wastes were generated. Under Robin's guidance, samples from <br /> 101 points were sorted and characterized. Results of Phase II identified specific locations and <br /> practices to be targeted for further waste reduction and recycling activities. The resulting report <br /> was highly praised by Park Executives and continues to be used in their waste reduction efforts. <br /> Recyclables Composition Study, Private Processor, FL <br /> Robin managed the planning and completion of a recyclables composition study for a private <br /> processor.The study entailed pulling and sorting representative samples from loads of recyclables <br /> delivered by four different cities. Data for each city was analyzed separately. Results were used to <br /> modify formulas included in processing contracts with the communities used to calculate revenues <br /> due to the cities. <br /> ➢ Waste Composition Study, Chatham County, NC <br /> Robin managed the Chatham County waste characterization study of materials collected at the <br /> county's twelve collection centers. The study included three generator sectors and project activities <br /> included pre-planning, sorting representative samples of the municipal solid waste, conducting a <br /> visual audit of the bulky waste, analyzing the resulting data, and preparing a final report that <br /> compared the results with baseline data. <br /> Robin has received the following industry awards: <br /> • 2012 Recycler of the Year, Recycle Florida Today <br /> • Federal Environmental Executive's "Closing the Circle Award," 1996,for work to enhance <br /> government affirmative procurement <br /> • U.S. EPA Bronze Medal, 1995, a team award for implementing the "Recycling Means Business" <br /> program <br /> • U.S. EPA Office of Solid Waste "Team Excellence Award," 1995, for work on the Recycling <br /> Market Development Task Force and "Jobs Through Recycling" initiative <br /> Prior Employment History: <br /> • U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region 4, Waste Reduction Specialist <br /> kessler consulting inc. <br /> Proposals 2018\Orange Co Proposal-final 25 innovative waste solutions <br />
