Purpose <br />Orange County requested BTS assess their current Internet and Intranet websites to determine how to <br />redesign the content and appearance to better convey the image that Orange County wants to present to <br />its citizens and employees. <br />i. Objectives <br />The stated project objectives are: <br />• Assess the existing Orange County intemet and intranet sites to determine how to best redesign <br />both web sites to reflect Orange County's vision and personality <br />• Review existing content and modify the information accordingly to reflect the current services <br />provided by the County <br />• Establish a web presence for smaller departments <br />• Streamline the update process and introduce the use of automated tools for maintenance <br />• Design standard style templates and graphics <br />• Define calendar update requirements <br />• Define requirements for on-line access to and submission of forms (e.g., volunteer applications) <br />pertaining to specific departmental needs <br />• Provide hosting and maintenance support services for the intemet site compatible with the <br />existing IT infrastructure of Orange County <br />• Define technical and functional requirements to support a bilingual web site <br />• Identify tools to track standard web statistics to effectively monitor site activity <br />PC516V4.DOC - OC Internet FINAL
