Color shall be selected by the Owner. <br /> Be Eave and Ice Dam Protection : Shall be a self-adhering membrane composed of a <br /> rubberized asphalt laminated to a polyethylene film . Total membrane thickness shall be 40 <br /> mils minimum . Materials shall be similar to Ice and Water Shield by W . R. Grace, <br /> Cambridge , Massachusetts ; Polyguard Deck Guard by Polyguard Products , Inc . , Ennis , <br /> Texas ; or Royston Ice Guard 108AGN by Royston, Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania or approved <br /> equal . <br /> C . Underlayment : Shall be No . 15 unperforated asphalt saturated felts conforming to the <br /> requirements of ASTM D226 . <br /> D . Nails : Shall be hot-dipped galvanized with sharp points and large flat heads approximately <br /> 3 /8 inch in diameter. Shank diameter of nails shall be a minimum of 0 . 105 inch and a <br /> maximum of 0 . 135 inch . Nails shall be of sufficient length to penetrate completely through <br /> or extend a minimum of 3 /4 inch into the roof deck, whichever is less , when driven through <br /> materials to be fastened . <br /> E .
