Coordinate all movement with the Owner or Owner ' s Representative . <br /> 3 . 02 Deck <br /> A . Inspect the deck for deterioration, warpage, or damage . Replace damaged or deteriorated <br /> deck with new materials of same dimension, type and configuration . All repaired or <br /> replaced deck shall be verified by the Owner ' s Representative . <br /> Be Removed deteriorated or damaged deck to the nearest supporting joist or structural <br /> support unit . <br /> C . Exercise caution so as not to damage supporting structural units . <br /> D . Should structural units be damaged, notify Owner and Designer for resolution prior to <br /> I <br /> nstalling new deck . <br /> 3 . 03 Demolition — Curbs and Roof Drains <br /> A . Remove and dispose of abandoned equipment curbs . <br /> Be Close in resultant deck openings per paragraph 3 . 04 . <br /> 3 . 04 Deck Opening Repair <br /> A . Remove and replace decking for penetrations identified to be removed . Openings 12 <br /> inches in diameter or square shall be covered with 18 gauge galvanized sheet metal plate . <br /> Plate shall extend a minimum of 8 inches beyond the perimeters of the opening and shall <br /> be secured with fasteners , minimum 2 per side . <br /> Be Openings larger than noted in 3 . 03 . A shall be structurally framed in and closed in with <br /> deck of same dimension, type, and configuration to match existing.
