5thWall Building Diagnostics Consultants Government Services Annex <br /> District Attorney Office <br /> Roof Replacement <br /> November 2009 <br /> 4 . Time and date Owner will assume possession of the work or designated portion <br /> thereof. <br /> 5 . Signature of Designer and Contractor . <br /> D . Substantial completion — The Work has progressed to the point where, in the opinion of the <br /> Designer, it is sufficiently complete, in accordance with the Contract Documents , so that the <br /> Work can be utilized for the purposes for which it is intended . <br /> E . The Contractor shall then complete or correct those items so listed within the designated <br /> time and inform the Owner and Designer upon completion . <br /> F . Should the Owner and Designer determine that the work is not substantially complete the <br /> Designer shall immediately notify the Contractor in writing stating the reasons . Contractor <br /> shall then complete the work and send a second written notice to the Designer certifying that <br /> the project or designated portion thereof, is substantially complete . The Designer shall re- <br /> inspect the work within seven days after receipt of certification . <br /> 3 . 02 Final Inspection <br /> A . Contractor shall : Submit written certification to the Designer that : <br /> 1 . The contract documents have been reviewed . <br /> 2 . Work has been completed in accordance with the contract documents . <br /> 3 . The project has been inspected for compliance with the contract documents . <br /> 4 . The project is ready for final inspection . <br /> Be Provide safe access to all areas of the facility to accommodate personnel for the final <br /> inspection . <br /> Co The Designer shall make a final inspection within ten days after receipt of certification . <br /> D . Should the Designer determine that the work is finally complete in accordance with the <br /> requirements of the contract documents, the Designer shall request that the Contractor <br /> submit the appropriate project close -out documentation . <br /> E . Should the Designer determine that the work is not finally complete, the Designer shall <br /> immediately notify the Contractor in writing stating reasons . The Contractor shall then take <br /> immediate measures to remedy the stated deficiencies and send an additional written notice <br /> to the Designer certifying that the work is complete . The Designer shall re- inspect the work <br /> within ten days after receipt of certification . <br /> 3 . 03 Reinspection Costs <br /> Should the Designer incur additional charges as a result of additional inspections for non- <br /> compliance, the Contractor shall compensate the Owner for such additional charges . Such costs shall <br /> be deducted from final payment to the Contractor. <br /> 3 . 04 Close-out Submittals <br /> A . Project record documents : As required by Section 017839 . <br /> 09 -26 Project Closeout Procedures <br /> 01770002 <br />
