5thWall Building Diagnostics Consultants Government Services Annex <br /> District Attorney Office <br /> Roof Replacement <br /> November 2009 <br /> DIVISION 1 <br /> GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br /> SECTION 013216 <br /> CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE <br /> PART1 GENERAL <br /> 1 . 01 Related Documents <br /> Drawings and general provisions of the contract including General and Supplementary Conditions <br /> and other Division 1 specification sections apply to work of this section . <br /> 1 . 02 Description <br /> A . To assure adequate planning and execution of the work so as to complete the project within <br /> the time period allowed in the contract and to assist the Designer in evaluating progress of <br /> the work. <br /> Be ' Day" used throughout the contract shall mean " Consecutive Calendar Days " unless <br /> otherwise stated . <br /> Co " Work day" shall be any weekday, exclusive of Saturdays , Sundays , or a recognized legal <br /> holiday on which weather or other conditions (not under control of the contractor) will <br /> permit construction operations to proceed for not less than 3 /4 of a normal work day in the <br /> performance of a controlling item of work. The contractor shall denote such controlling <br /> work items on the critical path schedule to be submitted as a part of this project. Should <br /> such conditions permit operations to proceed for at least 1 /2 but less than 3/4 of normal <br /> working hours, 1 /2 of a work day shall be counted . Days counted shall exclude Saturdays , <br /> Sundays , and recognized legal holidays the Contractor does not work but will include <br /> Saturdays , Sundays , and recognized legal holidays the Contractor does work. Work days <br /> shall be counted during periods of suspension of work ordered by the Designer except when <br /> the suspension is a result of a violation of terms of the contract . <br /> 1 . 03 Adherence to Approved Schedule <br /> A . Should any activity not be completed within ten days after the scheduled completion date, <br /> the Owner shall have the right to order the Contractor to expedite completion of the activity <br /> by whatever means the Owner deems appropriate and necessary without additional expense . <br /> Be Should any activity be 30 or more days behind schedule the Owner shall have the right to <br /> complete the activity or to have the activity completed by whatever means the Owner deems <br /> appropriate and necessary. <br /> C . The Owner shall assess a dollar value for the work not completed after the scheduled <br /> completion date and will include this information in the activity report . <br /> D . Failure by the Owner to exercise the option to either order the Contractor to expedite an <br /> activity or to expedite an activity by other means shall not be considered precedent setting <br /> for any other activity( ies) . <br /> 09-26 Construction Progress Schedule <br /> 01321601 <br />
