The Contractor shall apply for, secure , and pay for all permits , governmental fees and <br /> licenses necessary for the proper execution and completion of the Work which are applicable <br /> at the time that Bids are received . <br /> Be The Contractor shall obtain necessary permits and inspections for any mechanical, electrical , <br /> and/or plumbing work associated with raising/extending of existing ductwork, conduit, <br /> piping, and pipe vents to provide specified flashing clearances above new roof membrane . <br /> Contractor shall provide evidence of acceptance of work by submitting inspection forms <br /> from appropriate agencies that indicate acceptance of the Work. <br /> 1 . 06 Existing Conditions <br /> A . Existing conditions are reflected to the best of the Designer ' s knowledge based on randomly <br /> and arbitrarily selected sample areas . It is the responsibility of the Contractor to visit the site <br /> as required to verify existing conditions, dimensions, and quantities, etc . prior to preparation <br /> and submission of bids . <br /> Be The Owner and Designer make no representation, warranty or guarantee that conditions <br /> indicated by the drawings and specifications are representative of those conditions found <br /> throughout the entire work areas , or that materials other than, or in proportions different <br /> from those indicated, may not exist . <br /> Co The Contractor shall accept building and site " as is " and exercise care to protect existing <br /> conditions . <br /> D . Verify existing conditions and notify Owner and Designer should the conditions vary <br /> significantly from those described in the Contract Documents . <br /> E . Pre-Job Damage Survey of Facility and Site : Contractor shall perform a thorough survey of <br /> property, interior and exterior, and all rooftop penetrations and equipment prior to starting <br /> the Work in order to document existing conditions . A photographic record of all conditions <br /> shall be provided to the Owner and Designer prior to beginning work. Damaged items <br /> identified on the photographic record shall not be the responsibility of Contractor unless <br /> further damaged by Contractor during execution of Project . Any equipment identified to be <br /> damaged or abandoned shall be reported to the Owner as a part of the survey for <br /> determination of item removal or repair . <br /> F . Correction of Damage to Property : The Contractor shall be responsible for repair or <br /> replacement of materials that are damaged during construction activities and are not <br /> documented to have been existing prior to beginning the work . Items/materials that are <br /> damaged shall be returned to original condition prior to conclusion of construction <br /> activities . If return to original condition is not possible or practical , Contractor shall <br /> items/materials with new as approved by the Designer and the Owner . The <br /> replace <br /> Owner reserves the right to perform prompt repairs/replacement to such damages with its <br /> own forces and to reduce the Contract Sum by such an amount to reimburse for repairs <br /> required . <br /> 09 -26 Summary of Work <br /> 010100 . 2 <br />
