Sonoco Recycling Durham Equipment: <br /> i. 1 Logemann 345 AT Baler <br /> ii. 1 In ground pit conveyor: <br /> iii. Both are ideal for baling fiber grades, for example cardboard. <br /> iv- Facility is setup to inbound residential single stream material if the need arises. <br /> b. Sonoco Recycling Raleigh Equipment: <br /> i. In April 2018 we upgraded our equipment to include the following: <br /> o New scalping screen <br /> o Optical scanner <br /> o Both to improve quality of mixed paper out of Raleigh.MRF <br /> ii. In January of 2017 we upgraded our equipment to include the following: <br /> o A project was undertaken to increase overall annual processing capacity <br /> at the MRF by an estimated 15,000 tons. <br /> o An OCC disk screen was added at the front of the system, and a <br /> polishing screen was replaced with a higher efficiency screen. <br /> o We reconfigured the processing line by relocating and installing an <br /> additional upgraded 3-deck glass breaker/screen where glass is captured <br /> more efficiently. <br /> o We also upgraded and optimized our glass clean-up with a higher <br /> efficiency cyclone air scalping system which more efficiently removes <br /> small paper and other organics. <br /> o Conveyors between these components were upgraded. <br /> iii. Existing Equipment in the MRF includes upgrades in 2009 and 2013: <br /> o 2 larger fiber separating screens. <br /> o Optical scanner for plastic sorting. <br /> o Eddy current magnet for aluminum recovery. <br /> o 2 high speed balers,one for commercial operations and one for single <br /> stream operations. <br /> o Large tip floor capable of storing 600 tons of single stream material. <br /> o Large finished goods warehouse capable of storing 900 tons of baled <br /> material. <br /> Existing Equipment in the MRF includes: <br /> o 2 larger fiber separating screens. <br />
