Mebane 336-227-2031 <br />PURPOSE: To discuss, as the Board determines, the remaining additional tapirs which the <br />Board did not have time to discuss at the December 9, 2000 BOCC Retreat or at the December <br />12, 2000 Continued Retreat meeting. <br />BACKGROUND: The BOCC began discussion on multiple different topics at the Board's <br />December 9, 2000 Retreat. Those discussions continued at the December 12, 2000 Continued <br />Retreat meeting. However, time did not allow the Board to discuss all of the topics.. Staff has <br />reviewed the discussions at those meetings and the following topics remain to be discussed: <br />• Soccer Facilities <br />• Proposed Land Legacy Action Plan <br />• 250"' Anniversary of Orange County <br />• Indicator Program <br />• Definition of Bonafide Farm <br />• Erosion Control Update <br />• Transportation Services <br />• County/NCACC Legislative Goals <br />(see Appendix 6 in Retreat notebook) <br />A summary of Orange County soccer participation statistics and soccer recommendations from <br />the Inter-governmental Parks Work Group are attached. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no direct financial impact associated with discussion of the <br />topics. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board that the Board discuss <br />the topics and provide any necessary direction to staff. <br />
