5 % of juveniles fall into the high needs category which is consistent with the state average of <br /> 5 % . <br /> 24 % of juveniles report being rejected by positive peers , 64 % had some/regular association with <br /> delinquent peers or 2 % regularly associated with a gang in FY 1748 . Numbers remain steady <br /> with an increase of some association with delinquent peers ( 51 % ) in FY 16 - 17 . <br /> 73 % of juveniles have moderate to serious school behavior problems as compared to 45 % in FY <br /> 16 - 17 . Close to the state average of 72 % . <br /> * 32 % of juveniles need substance abuse assessment or treatment which is consistent with the <br /> state . <br /> * This statistic is possibly underreported. <br /> * 44 % of juveniles are reported to be abuse/neglect victims which is twice the state average 23 % , <br /> and 3 % of those having NO support . <br /> * This statistic is possibly underreported. <br /> * 3 % of juveniles have dangerous sexual practices . <br /> * This statistic is possibly underreported. <br /> 41 % of juveniles need more mental health assessment which is higher than the state at 35 % . <br /> * 26 % of juveniles have domestic discord in the home and 4 % of juvenile ' s violence in the home . <br /> * This statistic is possibly underreported. <br /> 59 % of juveniles come from homes where parents/guardians have marginal to inadequate family <br /> supervision skills which is higher than the state at 52 % <br /> 10 % of juveniles have a parent/guardian with a disability, above the state average of 4 % . <br /> * 18 % of juveniles have family alcohol/drug abuse in the home , higher than the state average of <br /> 12 % . <br /> * This statistic is possibly underreported. <br /> 54 % of adjudicated juveniles come from homes where family members have criminal history <br /> and an additional 11 % are under active court supervision or have gang involvement . <br /> Part III .
